Hi, I’m Maux.
I believe in living a life aligned with purpose, and rich with meaning. My work focuses on helping individuals and organizations move through times of challenge, change, and uncertainty.
If you’re stuck in making your goals happen, or haven’t given yourself space to imagine what your biggest, best life could look like, I can help you move forward and design actions for the change and transformation you crave.
My work is directed by my core values of connection, contribution, purpose, and play.
Why I coach.
Coaching is an opportunity to have support and structure to guide you to access your strengths, identify your blocks, and move towards that which is most important to you. As your coach, I’ll be your thought-partner and advocate, helping you move forward from a place of inner wisdom.
My approach to coaching is both client-centered and dynamic. I hold my clients as whole, capable, and resilient. You are the expert of your life, and my role is to bring the framework and tools to support you in exploring, designing and implementing action for the transformation you want in your life and work.
What I bring to coaching.
I hold a certificate in Organizational Coaching from the University of British Columbia and have achieved ACC Status with the International Coaching Federation. I’ve completed training in facilitation, trauma-informed care, counseling, and change management.
Working in suicide intervention and crisis response for over 12 years solidified my belief in the importance of empathy, intuition, and clear communication – in all areas of our lives. As the manager of a large, expanding team I learned the importance of corporate culture, which brought me to pursue Change Management and Organizational Development. I have experience working in diverse cultures including corporate, post-secondary education, and not-for-profit. Along the way, I’ve learned a lot about human resilience, navigating the unknown, and the journey of transformation.
I’m passionate about creating safe conversation containers where groups and teams can talk about what really needs to be said, in a supportive and productive way. I bring my understanding of systems, social justice, change, and power dynamics to my facilitation work. I’m a student of meditation and believe that understanding our own inner landscape is critical to make lasting change in our lives.
“You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness.” – Brené Brown
Personally, my whole life has been a journey into human development — learning how to help myself and others live with a deep sense of our own worth and purpose. I live in beautiful Vancouver, BC with my partner, Jordan, where I enjoy cycling, yoga and daily walks along the ocean.
